Swatch China Glaze - Glitter Goddess

Een tijdje geleden had ik via Transdesign een aantal lakken besteld. China Glaze Glitter Goddess is er daar één van. Ik vind hem leuk!

A while ago I ordered some polishes with Transdesign. China Glaze Glitter Goddess is one of them. I like it!

Bestellen bij Transdesign

Zoals jullie in de laatste posts hebben kunnen lezen, heb ik voor het eerst een bestelling geplaatst bij Transdesign, een Amerikaanse webshop. Op Transdesign kun je heel veel soorten nagellak kopen waaronder de merken Essie, China Glaze, Orly, Color Club en New York. Tot voor kort kon je er ook OPI kopen, maar na een heleboel heisa zijn de lakjes van OPI officieel van de site gehaald. Ik heb in oktober van dit jaar echter nog gewoon OPI lakjes kunnen kopen. Ze staan namelijk niet meer bij de merken, maar als je zoekt op OPI dan krijg je gewoon het menu met alle OPI lakjes (inclusief de Muppets Collectie).

Recently, I ordered nine bottles of nailpolish by Transdesign. This was my first order with transdesign. You can buy a lot of brands: Essie, China Glaze, Orly, Color club and New york. OPI was available on Transdesign but after a lot of fuzz about OPI, Transdesign got them off the site. But I discovered that you still can by OPI from Transdesign, you just have to use the search function. If you type in OPI,  a display with search results show up. If you click OPI Lacquer a screen will appear of the newest collection (Now it's the Muppets collection).

Toch zou ik niet aanbevelen om OPI lakjes via Transdesign te bestellen, waarom? Er was een hele discussie over de vraag of Transdesing fake OPI verkocht of niet. De meeste mensen dachten dat het een fabel was dat door een concurrent de wereld in was geholpen, maar nadat ik mijn lakjes binnen had, ontdekte ik dat TD me zeer waarschijnlijk neppers heeft gestuurd. De code die namelijk aan de voorkant van het flesje hoort te staan, ontbreekt. Ook heeft de onderkant niet het etiketje waarop staat 'peel here' maar alleen het etiketje dat daaronder zit.

But I wouldn't recommend to buy OPI polishes through Transdesign, why? There was a big discussion about the question if OPI polishes that were sold by Transdesign, were fake or not. Most people thought that it was a myth started by a concurrent of OPI. But after I received my OPI, I discovered that TD probably sold me fake OPI. So am I missing the code that is supposed to be on the front. Besides that, the bottom of the bottle is missing the extra label that says 'peel here'.

Terug naar Transdesign!

Als je je 9 lakjes (of meer of minder natuurlijk, maar je kunt 9 lakjes in een flat rate box versturen) hebt gekozen ben je klaar om te gaan bestellen! Onderaan het bericht heb ik een foto geplaatst van de verschillende stappen in het bestelproces. Als je op de foto klikt verschijnt hij groot in een nieuw scherm. Eerst verschijnt er een scherm waarop je kunt inloggen. Ik heb op bestellen zonder log-in geklikt. Vervolgens moet je je gegevens invullen. En kun je kiezen hoe je wilt betalen. Ik heb met creditcard betaald, maar ook betaling met paypal is mogelijk. Let vervolgens op dat je bij de verzendwijze kiest voor de onderste optie (Small Flat Rate), dan zijn de verzendkosten 20 dollar. Klik dan onderaan op het scherm op submit order en je nagellakjes komen jouw kant op! Officieel kun je je pakje volgen, maar maak je vooral geen zorgen als je na de eerste melding (pakje is afgegeven ergens bij Forest Park ofzo) niks meer hoort. De track en trace werkt namelijk niet goed bij TD want je kunt niet tussendoor zien waar het pakje zich bevindt. Je merkt pas weer iets op het moment dat de postbode aanbelt met je pakketje. Bij mij duurde het precies twee weken voordat het pakje op de deurmat viel. Prima dus!

Back to TD. If you selected your nine bottles of your favorite polish, you are ready to order! Of course you can choose more or less bottles thatn 9, but a small flat rate box will fit nine bottles of nail polish.

See for the procedure the picture on the bottom of this entry. (If you click on it, it will appear large in a new window). After the shopping cart, you'll see a screen that allows you to log in. However, I always choose the order without log-in option. After that, you have to submit you information and choose a paying method. I paid with credit card, but it is also possible to pay with paypal. If you don't live in the United States, make sure that with the shipping method the box of Small Flat Rate is ticked. That is the method below on the list. With a Small Flat Rate box, the shipping costst are 20 dollar. Otherwise it is a lot more!

If you checked everything just hit the submit order button under in the screen and your nail polish will come your way! By me it took exactly two weeks before the mailboy rang at my door. By the way: don't get anxious when you can't track and trace your package. With me, it just said that the package is at Forest Park and that's it. No updates, nothing. But after two weeks it still arrived.

Bodyshop - Christmas collection 4-step smokey eyes (golden brown)

Het is 1 december en dat betekent (als je niet in Nederland bent) dat de kersttijd officieel is begonnen! Een perfect moment om de 4-step smokey eyes kit te bespreken. Dit palet is onderdeel van de winter trend collectie van the Body Shop. Ik heb de kit in golden brown, maar hij is er ook in silver black.

Swatch: China Glaze crackle - Tarnished gold

Bij de lakjes uit America zat ook een crackle nagellak, namelijk Tarnished gold van China Glaze. Ik wilde naast de witte crackle van essence heel graag een (iets betere kwaliteit) metallic crackle en ik ben gek op goud, dus de keuze was snel gemaakt. Als basislak heb ik Ingrid gebruikt, ook een lakje van China Glaze (zie swatch hier). Ik heb Tarnished Gold redelijk dik aangebracht omdat hij anders niet mooi open barstte, dus let daarop als je deze lak zelf wilt kopen.Zelf vind ik de combi erg mooi. Wat vinden jullie ervan?

In the batch of nailpolishes that I ordered from Transdesign was also a crackle nailpolish: Tarnished gold from China Glaze. Besides the white crackle polish from essence I wanted a (better quality) metallic crackle polish and  I love gold, so the choice was easy. In this photo I used the polish Ingrid, also from CG as a base coat (see swatch here). One point of notice is that I had to apply the crackle polish quite thick to get a nice 'crack'. If you apply it too thin it won't burst open nicely (at least, my polish won't crack nice).

I love this combi, it's trendy but sophisticated because the brow is a neutral colour. What do you think?

Swatch China Glaze - Ingrid

Dit is één van mijn nieuwe lakjes, ik moest hem hebben omdat iemand die ik goed ken Ingrid heet. De kleur vond ik in het potje niet super maar op mijn nagels is ie erg mooi! Het is taupe met gouden glimmers. Het is een sophisticated kleur en perfect voor de herfst!

This is one of my new polishes, I just had to have it because someone I know goes by the name Ingrid. I didn't really like the colour of the polish in the jar, but on my nails it's really pretty. I love the taupe colour with golden shimmers. It's a sophisticated colour that is perfect for fall!

Fashion? Karin Millen - Klassieke Winterjas

Hi,

De laatste tijd is mijn blog meer een beauty dan een fashion blog. Dit komt omdat ik tot het nieuwe jaar in Duitsland zit en er niemand is om foto's te maken. Bovendien heb ik maar een hele kleine selectie van mijn kleding hier. Dus sorry, maar tot januari zal het niet veel anders worden, in de tussentijd heb ik wel een mooie nieuwe jas gekocht, lekker warm!

Recently, this blog is more like a beauty blog than a fashion blog. This is because I'm in Germany untill the new year and I don't have someone who can take pictures. I also have a very small part of my wardrobe with my. So I'm sorry, but it will probably stay this way until January. For no, I bought a new coat and want to share it with you. It's really warm!

Swatch Essie - Van D'Go

Zoals jullie in mijn vorige post konden zien, heb ik een aantal nieuwe nagellakjes besteld. De eerste die ik heb geprobeerd is van Essie - Van D'Go, het is een knalroze tint. Lekker meisjesachtig. Op de foto lijkt hij een beetje perzikkleurig, maar vergis je niet: in het echt is hij een stuk rozer! Deze foto is gemaakt bij natuurlijk daglicht. De nagellak heeft twee laagjes nodig om te dekken en bleef bij mij max. 2 dagen goed zitten zonder te chippen. Ik had van een kwaliteitsnagellak als Essie eigenlijk wel verwacht dat hij iets langer goed zou blijven. Maar ik ben sowieso niet zo goed in het mooi houden van nagellak.
Hoe zorgen jullie ervoor dat jullie nagellak mooi blijft zitten?

As you saw in my last post, I ordered a few new nail polishes! The first one I tried is Essie - Van D'Go. It's a very pink cream shade, really girly. In the photo it looks like it's got some apricot in it but IRL it's a lot more pink. I tried to get the real shade on the pics, but it's impossible. This picture is taken in natural sunlight. It takes two coats of Essie Van D'Go to get a good coverage. It stayed neatly on my nails for two days, which is less than I expected of a more high end nail polish. But then again, I'm not good in getting my nail polish to stay on neatly.
What do you think of the colour? How do you take care of your nails to get the nail polish to stay on?

swatch Chanel Péridot

Toen ik deze Chanel nagellak 1 dag nadat hij uit was, wilde gaan halen, was hij al helemaal uitverkocht. Ik kwam hem nu ineens in de ICI Paris in Amsterdam tegen en heb hem meteen meegenomen, kijk na de break voor de swatch!

When I wanted to buy this Chanel polish just one day after it shipped, it was completely sold out. A few weeks later, when I totally didn't expected it, I ran into it in the ICI Paris in Amsterdam. I immediately took it. After the break, you'll see the swatch.

It's yellow!

Deze foto is een paar dagen geleden gemaakt, toen we ineens nog een zomerdag hadden. Heerlijk! Meestal combineer ik mijn cambridge satchel met grijs en zwart, zodat de tas er echt uitknalt. Maar ik vind hem ook verrassend mooi in deze combinatie. Het jurkje is gekocht in Spanje, toen ik op vakantie was in Barcelona. Daarbij draag ik heerlijk zomerse havaianas, horloge van breil en natuurlijk mijn neongele cambridge satchel!

This shot is taken a few days ago, when we tasted the summer for a short period, lovely! Most of the time I wear my neon yellow cambridge satchel with greys and black, to make the bag really pop. But I think it matched surprisingly good with this summer dress. I bought the dress in Barcelo on a holiday. With it I wear flip-flops from Havaiana, a watch from breil and of course my new neon yellow cambridge satchel!
