Het is 1 december en dat betekent (als je niet in Nederland bent) dat de kersttijd officieel is begonnen! Een perfect moment om de 4-step smokey eyes kit te bespreken. Dit palet is onderdeel van de winter trend collectie van the Body Shop. Ik heb de kit in golden brown, maar hij is er ook in silver black.
It's the first of December that means that the advent has officially begun! A perfect time to review the body shop 4-step smokey eyes kit. This kit is a part of the winter trend make-up from the Body Shop. I've got it in golden brown, but you also have another color that is silver black.
De kit bestaat uit een bruin oogpotlood, een oogschaduwkwastje, drie kleuren oogschaduw en een creme highlighter. De highlighter is de kleur rechtsonder, de op een na lichtste kleur dus. De kit is prachtig verpakt in een zwart doosje, inclusief redelijk grote spiegel aan de binnenkant.Daarnaast vind je op de (kartonnen) verpakking is een instructie voor het aanbrengen van smokey eyes. Ik vond dat erg handig, maar de meiden die daar al bekend mee zijn, hebben dit niet nodig. Ook is het jammer dat de instructie geprint is op het kartonnen doosje dat je eigenijk weggooit na het uitpakken van je palet. Maar daarom heb ik de instructie gefotografeerd zodat jullie hem kunnen opslaan! Voor de meiden die de ingredienten belangrijk vinden, heb ik de hele achterkant gefotografeerd.
Inside the kit you will find a eyeshadow brush, an eyepencil, three colors eyeshadow and a creme highlighter. The creme highlighter is the bottom colour on the right. The kit comes in a beautiful black box with a reasonable sized mirror. On the outside wooden box is a printed instruction on how to apply smokey eyes. I thought it was very useful, but for the girls who are familiar with it, it isn't needed. It's a missed opportunity that the instruction is printed on the box that you would normally throw away. But I photographed it for you, so you'll have it digital. For the girls that care about the ingredients of their make-up, I photographed the back of the box.
Ik heb deze palet gebruikt en ik moet zeggen dat ik hem erg fijn vind! Wat heel erg opvalt, is de pigmentatie. Dit is ook meteen wat deze palet onderscheid van de goedkopere merken oogschaduw.
De donkerste kleur is mat en is echt donkerbruin, erg mooi! De rest van de kleuren bevat een kleine shimmer en de highlighter schittert prachtig (vind ik).

Op de foto lijkt het alsof dark brown ook een glitter heeft, maar dat is echt niet zo!
De kleuren zijn standaard, maar dat is juist waarvoor ik deze palet heb gekocht. De oogschaduws hebben een fijne structuur en korrelen niet. Ik vind het kwastje ook prima om de oogschaduw mee op te brengen. Je kunt hem in het dagelijks leven gebruiken, maar als je uitgaat breng je de kleuren wat dikker aan en heb je een prachtige smokey eye! Ik vind het echt een aanrader. De 4-step smokey eyes palette is tijdelijk verkrijgbaar bij the Body Shop en kost 27 euro. Tip voor de meiden die in de buurt van de duitse grens wonen of de palet kunnen laten bezorgen in Duitsland: In Duitsland kost deze kit maar 18 euro!
On the picture it looks like dark brown also contains shimmer, but that's IRL not the case! The colors are standard but that's why I love this kit. The texture of the colours are great and I used the brush without problems (of course, if you have a better brush you can blend better). You can use this kit for a casual day look but if you want a gorgeous glamourous look for going out, just apply the colours more generously! I would recommend this palette to everyone. The 4-step smokey eyes palette is available at the Body Shop and costs 27 euro. But the girls in Germany are lucky: There it will only cost you 18 euro.
